A rich and hearty beef stew, slow-cooked with spices and vegetables for a true taste of Balkan comfort food.
Ingredients:
- 500g beef, cubed
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 500ml beef stock
- 2 potatoes, cubed
- 1 carrot, sliced
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt and pepper
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a large pot and sauté onions until soft.
- Add garlic, beef cubes, salt, and pepper. Cook until beef is browned.
- Stir in paprika, cumin, and tomato paste.
- Add beef stock, cover, and simmer for 1 hour.
- Add potatoes and carrots, cook for another 30–40 minutes.
- Serve hot with fresh bread.
